DESCRIPTION: Vibriosis is an important problem in hatcheries and fish culture ponds due to gram negative Vibrio spp., which are opportunistic microbes, causing 100% mortality in the culture systems. Most of the Vibrio sps are part of the autochthonous flora enter the culture system through the water and then live as commensal pathogens , when the animal is under stress and low immunity the Vibrio proliferate . Antibiotics are considered as the only known solution. NOVIB a herbal combination with bioactive compounds of plants like alkaloids, terrapins, lecethins, quinines, polypeptides, phenols etc, can effectively substitute the antibiotics for Vibrio control.
