MODE OF INFECTION
As a microsporidian , it enters the body as spores, once these enter they travel to the largest and nourished cells, the Hepato Pancreatic Cells. They settle here, grow in number and can be visualized as white oval or elliptical spores that start infecting the whole body .
WHITE GUT
Due to cell necrosis of the Hepato pancreatic cells these enter the gut, so the gut looks white and opaque.
WHITE MUSCLE
White patches of muscles on the dorsal side of the body, making the animal look opaque, the muscle gets hardened. This is a secondary infection of Vibrio.
WHITE FAECES
Seen as white threads floating on the surface of water or carried along by the organism, entangling hard.
